Previously, she was an online communities and internet reporter at Gizmodo, where she joined in 2017 as a weekend editor.
Serrano began her career in Texas, where she also worked for the Austin American-Statesman and The Texas Tribune. She was also with Politico in Washington D.C., where she covered social media and FCC, among others. She has also worked for Gizmodo en Español, Gizmodo’s Spanish language vertical, covering international industry news.
Serrano has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from IE Business School in Madrid.
