Fortune senior writer Alicia Adamczyk was among the layoffs this week.
She had been with the publication since March 2022.
“Before I started at Fortune, I would not have thought I’d be the one writing deep dives on the U.S. dollar, interval funds, or media company CEOs, but turns out I can do it all,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
She previously was senior reporter at CNBC Make It, writing its newsletter. Adamczyk joined the CNBC Make It team as a money reporter in 2019. Prior to CNBC, she was a personal finance writer for Lifehacker. Before that, Adamczyk spent nearly three years at Money.com where she was a reporter, writing health and personal finance stories, and co-host of the publication’s weekly Facebook live show, “This Week in Money.”
She began her journalism career as a business/lifestyle reporter for Forbes.
Adamczyk earned her bachelor’s degree in International studies from the University of Michigan, where she was an editor for the daily student paper, The Michigan Daily.
