Senior news editor Katherine Ross is among the layoffs at Blockworks, a cryptocurrency news site.
“So proud of the work our team did and, while I’m bummed I won’t be working with everyone directly anymore, I can’t wait to see where my incredibly talented ex-colleagues land,” she wrote on social media.
She has been a news editor and a senior breaking news reporter based in Austin, and she also wrote the “Empire” newsletter.
She worked as a senior producer and correspondent at TheStreet for five years prior to joining Blockworks.
Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on journalism from Sarah Lawrence College.
