She focused on real estate, homebuying, and homeownership, delving deeply into mortgages, home equity loans, and HELOCs.
Before Bankrate.com, Segal worked at Business Insider and Women’s Wear Daily. She also spent seven years at Businessweek as a department editor in personal business and social issues.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree from New York University.
