Dawn Kopecki, a senior editor overseeing politics, health, science and investigations at CNBC, has left for a new opportunity.
Her last day was Friday.
Before joining CNBC, she was business editor at the San Antonio Express-News.
Previously, she was a senior writer at Bloomberg News for more than seven years. While there she broke numerous stories on the mortgage market and political fallout during the financial crisis, including coverage of TARP and executive compensation restrictions in Dodd-Frank. Before Bloomberg, Kopecki was a correspondent at BusinessWeek and a reporter at Dow Jones.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University.
