TechCrunch senior crypto reporter Jacquelyn Melinek has left for a new opportunity.
“I’m starting something new that I’m passionate about and wildly excited for,” wrote Melinek on LinkedIn.
She has been at TechCrunch for two years. Before that, she had been at Blockworks covering digital assets, specifically cryptocurrency.
She previously was part of the S&P Global Platts team out of Houston covering petrochemicals. She previously interned for Bloomberg News on the Americas oil trading desk.
Before interning at Bloomberg, Melinek was an intern in the metro section of The News & Observer out of Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as a business reporter for the North Carolina Business News Wire.
Melinek holds a B.A. in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill.
