Ben Popken, a senior business reporter for NBC News, has left the news organization.
He had been with NBC since September 2012.
“The Business and Tech unit is pivoting in new directions and I wish all the inspiring and hardworking writers, on-air reporters and producers in it the best,” he wrote on Twitter.
Popken appeared on MSNBC, wrote digital features and articles, and pitched and produced Nightly News, Today segments and digital documentaries.
He previously was managing editor of Consumerist.com/
Popken is a University of Colorado graduate.
