New media company Semafor has hired Maxwell Tani from Politico as a media reporter.
He has been at Politico for the last year and co-authored the West Wing Playbook newsletter.
Tani previously covered politics and media for Business Insider. He previously wrote for the Huffington Post and helped produce the Working podcast for Slate. He has also written about music and film for Washington City Paper.
He is a 2014 graduate of American University in journalism and cinema studies.
