Scholer departs Cheddar for ICE

Kristen Scholer

Cheddar senior anchor Kristen Scholer has left the news organization to join ICE as senior planning manager and anchor.

She will be based at the New York Stock Exchange.

Scholer joined Cheddar in April 2016 after spending 17 months as a reporter at the Wall Street Journal, where she wrote a daily markets column, contributed to video and wrote for the web and print.

Before that, Scholer was a writer and producer at CNBC on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

She graduated cum laude from Northwestern University with a journalism degree.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
