Yahoo Finance senior editor Lisa Scherzer has left to join the chief economist’s team at Citigroup Global Wealth.
She has been at Yahoo Finance for 11 years.
She started at Yahoo Finance managing editorial sponsorship programs, specifically focusing on personal finance content. The role expanded and evolved into writing and editing as the site grew and ramped up its original content and video offerings.
Scherzer moved from focusing just on personal finance to hiring and managing reporters covering a range of beats, including markets, corporate news, economic policy, cryptocurrencies, retail investing, financial equality issues.
She previously worked at SmartMoney.com and The Wall Street Journal. Scherzer holds a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
