Schanemen departing Marijuana Business Daily

Bart Schaneman

Bart Schaneman, an editor at Marijuana Business Daily, is leaving the publication.

On Monday, he will be helping launch OR Daily, a website focused on business news for the outdoor industry.

Schaneman has worked for Marijuana Business Daily and Marijuana Business Magazine since 2016. Prior to that he was the editor in chief of the Scottsbluff Star-Herald as well as national editor of the Korea JoongAng Daily.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, his work has also appeared in the Washington Post and Catapult, among others

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
