SC Biz News hires Moore as reporter

Hollie Moore

Hollie Moore has joined SC Biz News, publisher of the Charleston Regional Business Journal, as staff reporter in Charleston.

Jason Thomas of SC Biz writes, “Moore will cover business news primarily in the Lowcountry but she also will contribute to statewide SC Biz News coverage.

“Moore joined the team earlier this month after graduating from Appalachian State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science. She double majored in communications-journalism and communications-public relations. She also earned minors in American Sign Language and criminal justice. She was a member of the Society of Professional Journalism and attended the National College Media Convention in New York in 2022.

“While a student, Moore worked with The Appalachian, a student-run news organization in Boone, serving as associate news editor for the 2022-2023 academic year. She also worked as communications intern for the Watauga Arts Council and was a student representative on the Appalachian State Student Media Board.”
