James Gardner
James Gardner, the editor in chief of the San Francisco Business Times, announced plans Tuesday to retire in March.
“It has been a fantastic ride spending three of those guiding our coverage of the ups and downs of the Bay Area,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “Now, it’s time to pass the torch.”
Gardner has been with the publication since May 1994. He took the top job in 2023. He is a former managing editor and award-winning editorial writer at the Business Times.
He previously was editor of EuroProperty in London and executive editor of Property Week.
Gardner is a University of Miami (Ohio) graduate.
