San Fran Biz Times adds three to newsroom

The San Francisco Business Times has added three new staffers to its newsroom.

Editor in chief Doug Fruehling writes, “Simon Campbell has joined the Business Times as special projects editor. He is in charge of all our special publications and award supplements, such as 40 Under 40, Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business and Most Admired CEOs….

“Our second new employee is photographer Adam Pardee. Pardee has spent the last two years shooting for the Coastside News Group, which includes the Half Moon Bay Review, Pacifica Tribune and Coastside Magazine. He previously interned at Embarcadero Media in Palo Alto….

“And I’m a little tardy is welcoming a third addition, Ahavah Revis, who joined the newsroom full-time in July as data reporter responsible for researching our Lists. Her name might sound familiar too: She previously was our researcher about a decade ago and has filled in in contract roles and part-time since.”

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
