The Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing is seeking applicants to the 2026 Goldschmidt Fellowship data immersion workshop that will take place Sunday, April 12 – Thursday, April 16 in Washington, D.C. Fellows will visit agencies in the District of Columbia/Maryland area, as well as have training and other events in downtown Washington.
This is an all-access program for journalists to learn from experts and government professionals who gather and analyze the nation’s economic data.
If you are interested in being a Goldschmidt Fellow, please submit a fellowship application here by Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. ET. To be considered for a fellowship, you must have an active SABEW membership through May 1, 2026. Some hotel and travel stipends are available.
The workshop is in its 12th year and is funded annually by a grant from the Illinois-based Walter and Karla Goldschmidt Foundation.
It is coordinated by Marty Steffens, SABEW chair at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and Kevin Hall, former SABEW president and managing editor/Americas, OCCRP.
