Financial Times correspondent Mercedes Ruehl is moving to Europe to cover Switzerland and Austria.
She has been its Singapore correspondent.
Prior to joining the Financial Times, Ruehl was a journalist at The Australian Financial Review, covering various sectors of business, including mergers and acquisitions, stock markets, currencies, politics, and commercial property.
She also served as a news desk assistant at The Sydney Morning Herald and later on, wrote for SMH BusinessDay.
Ruehl has a B.A. in political science and government from the University of Sydney and a graduate certificate in journalism from the University of Technology Sydney.
