Lisa Rowan has been named deputy editor of consumer finance at Forbes Advisor.
She has been a staff writer covering banking and personal finance.
Her bylines include Retail Dive, Racked (now Vox’s The Goods), The Washington Post and CityLab (The Atlantic). She is also the co-host of “Pop Fashion,” a weekly podcast discussing the business of fashion.
Rowan was previously with Lifehacker, a Gizmodo Media Group website, working as a personal finance reporter. She has also worked as a senior writer and on-air analyst at The Penny Hoarder and as managing editor at The Write Life.
She has also co-written The Penny Hoarder’s first longform series, “The American Nightmare,” exploring the long-term effects of the 2008 financial crisis on homeownership and housing access in the U.S.
Rowan has a master’s degree from Georgetown University.
