Peru bureau chief Marcelo Rochabrun has been named senior reporter covering wealth and inequality across Latin America for Bloomberg News.
He will be moving from Lima to Sao Paulo next year.
Rochabrun has been Peru bureau chief since January 2023. He was at Reuters in Peru covering that country and Latin American mining. He previously was in Sao Paulo for Reuters covering Uber, Embraer, airlines and automakers in Latin America.
Rochabrun previously was a stringer for the New York Times in Peru and also worked at ProPublica as a senior reporting fellow.
He is a graduate of Princeton University, where he was editor in chief of the student newspaper.
