Jon Rice, a veteran crypto media professional who has overseen the newsroom at three publications, has once again taken on the role of editor-in-chief at Cointelegraph.
A story on its website states, “Rice previously held the position in 2020-21 during the COVID-19 pandemic, prior to which he built and launched the long-form Cointelegraph Magazine publication. He later moved to Blockworks as editor-in-chief. Rice also co-founded Crypto Briefing in 2017, and is a founding member of the Association of Cryptocurrency Journalists and Researchers.
“According to Rice, the opportunity to present a new editorial and content vision for Cointelegraph is a major reason for his return to the role.
“Describing his vision for Cointelegraph’s content across multiple platforms, Rice said, ‘Technology is neutral, a fact that is rapidly percolating through the highest echelons of government across the globe. People, on the other hand, can be good or bad. The goal of our platform will be to celebrate the opportunity that Web3 technologies can present when used positively, while holding bad actors accountable.'”
