Reuters promotes Jessop to editor for sustainable finance

Simon Jessop

Simon Jessop is now editor of sustainable finance at Reuters, covering sustainable finance across banking, insurance, asset management and regulation.

He recently served as chief correspondent for sustainable finance and before that as chief correspondent of investments covering all aspects of the investment industry in EMEA, from pension funds to mutual funds, and hedge funds to private equity, including insurance companies.

He has also worked as senior sub-editor, companies, and then as chief European stocks correspondent/senior European stocks correspondent.

Prior to Reuters, Jessop was an editor at Mining Journal Online, a B2B trade publication in London. He was also an energy correspondent at The Wall Street Journal, covering energy markets in EMEA.

Jessop has a M.A. in journalism from the University of the Arts London.
