Reuters has hired Peter Wilkinson as Europe breaking and daily news editor.
He has worked at CNN for more than a quarter of a century, most recently as senior editor for global breaking news and also as a weekend editor in London.
Wilkinson previously worked for Reuters in 1999 and 2000 and was also a journalist at BBC News from 1997 to 1999. He also worked at The Daily Mirror.
He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham.
