Reuters has hired Michael Learmonth as business editor, Americas for spot enterprise.
He most recently has been senior director of development for NBC Universal Telemundo Enterprises.
Before that, Learmonth was editor in chief of Vice News. Learmonth joined Vice News in July 2016 as a news director. Before that, he served as managing editor of International Business Times.
Learmonth has also held the posts of deputy managing editor at Advertising Age and senior editor at Business Insider. He was previously a New York reporter at Variety.
Learmonth’s work has also been published in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Learmonth has a B.A. from Earlham College
