Reuters has hired Charlie Devereux to cover Spain and Portugal.
He will start in October.
Devereux has been freelancing in Spain for the past 18 months for publications such as The Sunday Times and The New European.
He previously spent more than a decade with Bloomberg News in Venezuela, Argentina and Spain covering the economy and finance.
He also worked for CNN International and The Telegraph.
Devereux is a graduate of the University of Manchester.
