Rest of World has hired Nikita Saxena as a contributing editor.
She will be based in New Delhi, India, and will mainly commission, edit, and publish freelance reports from Asia.
Saxena has a decade of experience in reporting and editing across television, print, and digital newsrooms. She has been engaged as an editorial consultant for an international consortium of journalists, through which she worked on projects with several independent newsrooms across India.
She is also a consulting web editor for Journey of Objects, a Mumbai-based narrative journalism publication.
Before this, she worked at The Caravan for several years, first as the publication’s web editor, and then as a staff writer.
