Rest of World has hired Ananya Bhattacharya as its South Asia reporter.
She has been at Quartz as a global breaking news writer.
Bhattacharya also worked for Quartz India as a tech writer. She covered stories ranging from Amazon’s warehouse robots to swarm electrification in Bangladesh. She worked in New York, covering both U.S. and India tech stories, and then moved to Mumbai.
She interned for The Verge, CNN Money and Inc. magazine. Bhattacharya holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University.
