He has been covering Congress for Bloomberg News in Washington, D.C., with a focus on foreign policy and national security.
His previous assignments included teams covering regulation and the U.S. economy. He has been covering the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He also frequently contribute to coverage of the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee.
Flatley has been with Bloomberg since June 2017. He previously was a reporter for the Watertown Daily Times.
He holds two degrees from Columbia University and was a sergeant in the Marines.
