Regnier named editor of Bloomberg Markets magazine

Pat Regnier

Katie Boyce, senior executive editor, digital at Bloomberg News, sent out the following announcement on Wednesday:

I’m pleased to announce Pat Regnier as the new Editor of Markets Magazine, filling the big shoes of Christine Harper, who has moved into a new role on Bloomberg Opinion.

Since joining Bloomberg Businessweek in 2016, Pat has proven himself to be a highly talented editor of the finance section of the magazine. He has worked with the wider newsroom to help produce top notch enterprise content for our organization, such as the commercial real estate cover package in last week’s BW issue to the Afterlife of Lehman Brothers cover package to Matt Levine‘s cover-to-cover masterpiece, The Crypto Story. But he also has a penchant for digital-friendly short form and utility, such as this post-SVB piece on modern day bank run questions answered or his piece on crypto as a security. And he’s no stranger to our cross-platform efforts as a frequent radio contributor and collaborator with the Originals team. Prior to Bloomberg, Pat worked at Money magazine and Money.com at Time Inc.

Pat has a big job ahead of him: We will continue to evolve Markets magazine to serve Terminal subscribers in the best way possible but we will also look to create more of a digital presence for this coverage, particularly for digital subscribers. That means we will be exploring new rubrics and digital products from newsletters to social video to better represent our best markets enterprise on all of our digital audience touch points. I’m really looking forward to digging into to all of that with Pat, the Markets magazine editors and the Markets reporting teams across the newsroom.

Please join me in congratulating Pat on his new role.
