Real estate news site The Real Deal has tapped Jerry Sullivan as national managing editor.
Recently, he served as a senior editor, overseeing coverage of Southern California and Bay Area. Now, he will be overseeing coverage in Southern California and the Bay Area on the West Coast, along with the Chicago area and Texas markets.
He founded SullivanSaysSoCal in 2018, a digital, subscription-based column. Before that, he was editor of the Los Angeles Business Journal and the Orange County Business Journal.
He also founded the Los Angeles Garment & Citizen, which served neighborhoods throughout Downtown Los Angeles and surrounding districts from 2001 to 2010. Additionally, he edited California Apparel News, Pacific Textile News and World Trade Magazine.
He also reported for weeklies and dailies in Southern California.
Sullivan graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
