Tim Fernholz, a senior reporter covering space, economics and politics at Quartz, has left. He wrote on X/Twitter:
“I’m no longer employed at Quartz after last week’s G/O layoffs. It’s a shame to leave after more than a decade, but new horizons beckon. Before returning to the reporting grind, I’ll work on a book and freelance for a bit.”
Fernholz has been with Quartz for more than 11 years. Previously, he was a correspondent at the National Journal and a staff writer at The American Prospect.
Fernholz has a B.A. from Georgetown University.
