Team Quartz,
We’re excited to announce that Ece Yildirim is joining the newsroom as a Staff Reporter. Ece will report and write a wide range of stories, with a particular focus on coverage for our Tech & Innovation channel.
Ece (pronounced Edge-eh) joins us from CNBC, where as a News Associate she worked on the outlet’s millennial-focused vertical Make It, as a producer on Closing Bell: Overtime, and as a reporter covering food, retail, media, politics, and more. She has also reported for the Turkish newspaper Dunya.
A native of Istanbul, Ece got her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She starts work today.
Please join us in congratulating Ece on her new position, and in welcoming her to Quartz.
