Quartz hires Fitzgerald to cover business lifestyle

Madeline Fitzgerald

Quartz has hired Madeline Fitzgerald as a business lifestyle writer.

She is the eighth new editorial hire for Quartz in the last four months. She starts on June 12. Fitzgerald will focus on coverage of lifestyle, wealth, and luxury. She will also cover trending business news stories across a wide range of topics.

Previously, Fitzgerald worked for HNGN as a reporter. Her experience prior to that includes reporting and editorial roles at The Messenger, U.S. News & World Report, and Time.

“We are thrilled to have Madeline join our team in this new role,” said Quartz editor in chief Dan Hirshhorn in a statement. “Quartz is continuing to grow the depth and breadth of our coverage, and the strength of our journalism. It’s exciting to see the site reach larger and larger audiences.”

Fitzgerald got her bachelor’s degree at Mount Holyoke College.
