Quartz hires Fellman as markets and finance editor

Josh Fellman

Quartz editor in chief Dan Hirschhorn sent out the following on Monday:

Team Quartz,

We are delighted to announce that Josh Fellman, a deeply experienced business journalist, is joining the newsroom as Staff Editor, Markets & Finance. In this new role, Josh will lead all our coverage in the Money & Markets channel, work that will include assigning, editing, and also reporting and writing many of his own stories.

Josh joins us most recently from Bloomberg, where he held a variety of roles covering a wide range of business news topics over more than 25 years at the outlet. He has edited Bloomberg’s Daybreak morning news digest, and worked as a reporter and editor in various roles in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and New York. We’re excited to see him bring that experience and expertise to the work of elevating our Markets & Finance coverage, and in helping us continue to grow the sophistication of our coverage across the newsroom.

After growing up in Vancouver, Josh got his Bachelor’s degree from McGill University.

He starts work today.

Please join us in congratulating Josh on his new position, and in welcoming him to Quartz.
