Financial news site Quartz has hired Rocio Fabbro as a staff writer, its sixth new hire in the last eight weeks.
Prior to joining Quartz, Fabbro was a breaking news reporter on The Messenger’s business team, covering labor, workplace, markets, and banks. She previously interned at Foreign Policy, CNBC, and Salon.
Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Canada, Fabbro got her bachelor’s degree in journalism and international relations at New York University.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rocio Fabbro to the Quartz team,” said Quartz editor in chief Dan Hirschhorn in a statement. “Rocio’s diverse background and experience in covering critical areas such as labor and financial markets align seamlessly with our commitment to delivering insightful and impactful business news. Her addition further strengthens our editorial roster as Quartz continues its strong 2024 audience growth momentum.”
