Quartz editor in chief Dan Hirschhorn and managing editor Susan Howson sent out the following on Monday:
Team Quartz,
We’re happy to announce yet another exciting addition to our newsroom.
Vinamrata Chaturvedi joins Quartz as a Staff Writer. Vinny has more than a decade of experience in journalism and has worked for outlets including Forbes, Investopedia, and CoinDesk. She has covered markets, personal finance, insurance, banking, and cryptocurrency while working in numerous countries, including Germany and India. Originally from Varanasi in India — one of the oldest cities in the world! — she has degrees from New York University, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and Banaras Hindu University. She starts work today.
Please join us in congratulating Vinny, and in welcoming her to Quartz.
