Cara Smith, business reporter at Quad-City Times, will be leaving to join Inside Health Policy, covering health care policy in D.C.
She begins Jan. 10.
Previously, she was the copy chief at The Hawk, the independent student news organization at Saint Joseph’s University. She has also worked as an assistant features editor, foreign correspondent and news editor at the paper.
She was also a tutor at SJU Writing Center and a summer intern at the Women’s Opportunities Resource Center.
Smith was also a copy editor at The Opportunist, St. Joe’s Undergraduate Economics Society newsletter. She was also a summer intern and then a social media director at Passaic River Coalition.
Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in English and economics from Saint Joseph’s.
