He comes from Law360, where he worked as a news apprentice.
Purifoy was a news associate at The Associated Press and was a metro correspondent at The Boston Globe. He interned at Bloomberg News and The Washington Blade.
Purifoy graduated from Emerson College, where he served as digital managing editor of the student paper.
