The Puget Sound Business Journal has hired Neetish Basnet as a data reporter.
Basnet writes, “At the Business Journal, I aim to tell stories behind and through the numbers. When reporting digits is simply not enough, I’ll provide the context and decipher its qualitative value to people and communities. I am also taking on the responsibility of collecting data, curating Lists and organizing the Business Journal’s growing database.
“The Puget Sound region is new to me, but I am aware of the journalistic and civic mission of the Business Journals.
“My first ‘big boy’ job after completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas a few years ago was at our sister paper, the Dallas Business Journal, where I wrote about topics ranging from the slow-but-steadily adapting big-box retailers to the encroachment of city streets by electric scooters.”
