Paxtyn Merten, the data reporter at the Puget Sound Business Journal, has left the news organization.
She had joined the publication in 2019 and had also covered technology, transportation and education in the region as they relate to the local business community.
Merten is a graduate of Northeastern University. While in school, she freelancing for the Boston Business Journal and the Puget Sound Business Journal, where she also interned. She also worked for MuckRock, a nonprofit news organization that works to bring government documents to the public eye, and Open Data Science, a data science blog.
She served as both editor-in-chief and managing editor of The Huntington News, Northeastern’s independent student newspaper.
