Tech news site Protocol has hired Brian Kahn to start a climate news desk.
He will start on Monday and will be hiring reporters to cover the intersection between climate and tech.
Kahn has been managing editor of Earther, a Gizmodo site, since September 2019. He previously was a senior reporter.
“Starting this site as a writer and growing with it as an editor have been four of the most fulfilling years of my life,” he wrote on Twitter.
Kahn previously worked at Climate Central and The Wall Street Journal. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
