Tech news site Protocol has hired Caitlin McGarry to be a news editor and help build its news team.
She will start on Feb. 28.
McGarry is senior consumer technology editor at Gizmodo and covering Apple and health and fitness tech. . She has been at that tech news site since January 2020.
She previously was a senior writer for Tom’s Guide and a staff writer for Macworld and an associate editor at TechHive.
McGarry also spent two years at the Las Vegas Review-Journal as a reporter covering downtown revitalization and general assignment business news.
