Politico reporter Allison Prang has left the news organization to finish a book and to freelance.
She has been covering sustainability for the news organization for nearly two years.
Prang previously spent five years at the Wall Street Journal, where she covered breaking news while writing about labor, banking and the stock market on the side. At the Journal, she wrote about everything from the end of the Hoffa era at the Teamsters union to shifts in how banks serve customers.
Before the Journal, she was a reporter for American Banker where she wrote about community banks. She also was a business reporter for the Charleston, South Carolina-based newspaper, the Post and Courier, where she covered tourism and tech.
She is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
