Fortune reporter Prarthana Prakash, who is based in London, was among the layoffs this week.
She covered a variety of topics from retail and consumer culture to tech and AI. She has been key to growing Fortune’s presence in Europe, including launching the flagship Fortune 500 Europe list. She wrote news stories for fortune.com as well as in-depth features for Fortune’s print magazine.
Before joining the company’s European operation, she was at Fortune’s headquarters in New York, covering U.S. news.
She previously worked at Bloomberg’s tech desk and in news production at CNBC Asia Pacific.
Prakash holds a bachelor’s degree from Singapore Management University and a master’s degree from New York University.
