The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina has hired Emily Garcia to cover business in the upper portion of the state.
She has been at Bloomberg Law covering litigation.
Garcia had previously been covering the environment and the economy for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as an intern.
She previously worked for The Oglethorpe Echo and In These Times.
Garcia is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she was enterprise editor of The Red and Black, the student newspaper.
