The San Diego Union-Tribune has hired Roxana Popescu to cover the money beat and how economic conditions affect the San Diego community.
Recently, Popescu was an investigative reporter at inewsource.
Her freelance work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes.com, San Diego Magazine, Ms. Magazine, Newsweek and The Atlantic’s CityLab. Previously, she worked at the San Diego Union-Tribune as a senior reporter.
She interned at The Seattle Times and was a news assistant at The Associated Press.
Popescu has a B.A. from Yale University and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
