
Cat Rutter Pooley has been named senior U.S. companies and markets news editor in New York at the Financial Times.
She will be responsible for coverage of American finance, companies and markets, from breaking news to analysis and enterprise reporting.
Pooley has been FT’s financial news editor, commissioning and editing our coverage of the world’s biggest banks, investors and insurers. Before that she wrote columns about UK business and the daily City Bulletin newsletter.
Pooley is a former corporate lawyer turned journalist who worked at Slaughter and May and Osborne Clarke before joining the FT in 2016.
