Natalie Fertig, who has been covering federal policy around the cannabis industry for Politico, is moving to a new beat.
She will be writing about states, from key legislative battles to political races. Her last day covering cannabis will be June 30.
Before joining Politico in 2019, Fertig was writing about cannabis policy for Rolling Stone, Politico Magazine and other outlets. She’s also worked with Pro Sales’ marketing team on a report on the state of the cannabis industry, so she’ll be a plug and play expert on the topic. She previously reported for Circa and for McClatchy, where she covered the 2016 campaign.
Fertig is a graduate of Portland State University and CUNY’s Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
