Politico has named Jessica Meyers as its defense editor.
She has been deputy standards and ethics editor since joining the news organization in 2023.
Before that, she was editor in chief of Global Press in Washington. Meyers was also an editor at World Bank Group and served as an Asia correspondent in the Beijing bureau at the Los Angeles Times.
She was a national reporter at the Boston Globe and a transportation reporter and tech reporter at Politico. She was also a staff writer at The Dallas Morning News.
Meyers has a bachelor’s degree from Goshen College in Indiana and a master’s degree from The University of California-Berkeley, Graduate School of Journalism.
