Politico reporter Erin Banco is leaving the news organization for a new opportunity.
She has been covering national security for the past two years. Banco previously was a global health correspondent covering the pandemic.
Before Politico she was a national security reporter at the Daily Beast. She was also an investigative reporter at The Star-Ledger and her bylines have also appeared in The New York Times, Foreign policy, Newsweek, CNN and more.
Banco was also a Middle East correspondent at IBT Media in Istanbul, Turkey.
Banco has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s from Columbia University.
