Politico promotes Banco to global health correspondent

Erin Banco

Politico has tapped Erin Banco as a global health correspondent covering the pandemic, focusing on how the Biden administration’s policy decisions impact the health and security of other countries.

She recently served as a health care reporter. Before that, she was a national security reporter at the Daily Beast. She was also an investigative reporter at The Star-Ledger and her bylines have also appeared in The New York Times, Foreign policy, Newsweek, CNN and more.

Banco was also a Middle East correspondent at IBT Media in Istanbul, Turkey.

Banco has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s from Columbia University.
