Politico Europe fintech correspondent Bjarke Smith-Meyer has been named senior finance correspondent, where he will cover the political world of finance and the economy.
He has been with Politico since 2016 and spent the last two years covering financial technology and crypto. He started off covering regulatory risk and policy decisions that target financial services in Europe.
Smith-Meyer is based in Brussels. He previously was a correspondent for MLex Market Insight.
Smith-Meyer holds a bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a master’s degree from City University London.
